'From Violin to Fiddle'
online course
For violinists who wish to explore traditional fiddle playing.
Having made the leap myself from note-bound classical player to fully fledged pro trad fiddler I know how daunting it can be for the classical musician to play without printed music!
I am super excited to offer this 5 week online course where I will help you to free yourself from the dots and immerse yourself in learning a few traditional Irish, Scottish, English and American fiddle tunes, by ear.
This relaxed course is designed for anyone who can play violin and who would consider themselves to be of Grade 2 standard and upwards.
You do not need to be a good music reader but an open musical mind (and ear) is an advantage!
There will be recordings of each class available for one week following the class.
When: Monday nights, 8pm-9pm

One to one private lessons and coaching
Choose from 30mins, 60mins or 120mins.
Study violin, viola or fiddle with me in a one to one environment, either on Zoom or in person.

When: by arrangement. Lessons delivered in academic term time unless by special arrangement.

Costs of other one to one lesson durations are calculated from the 30min rate pro rata.
